Liberty Program: Hakone Open Air Museum Tour & Area Tour
Tour Date: Monday, October 13 • 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. • Hakone
Our first stop on the tour will be Owakudani (volcanic valley), a crater created during the last eruption of Mt. Hakone about 3000 years ago. Then we will be heading to the Hakone Open Air Museum for an unforgettable adventure. Covering 70,000 square meters (18 acres) the museum provides a beautiful view of the Hakone Mountains and plays host to 120 masterpieces by famous modern and contemporary sculptors. Our last stop of the day will be Hakone Shrine, one of the most visited shrines in Japan, known for its beautiful red Torii Gate facing Lake Ashinoko and a view of Mt. Fuji if weather permits.
