Beginner Hike, Hoei Crater of Mt. Fuji
Event Date: Saturday, September 19 • 6 a.m - 5 p.m.
Mt. Fuji's last eruption happened in 1707, making a huge crater on the south-east side. This is known as the Hoei Crater. We will hike from the Fujinomiya 5th Station trailhead to the peak of Mt. Hoei (8,835 ft). Explore in and around the crater, getting to see lesser-traveled areas of the mountain and beautiful views to the south. It's 4-miles round trip with a 1,750ft elevation gain. The duration is about 4 hours.
