Intermediate Hike, Misaka Kurodake

The massif of Misaka is located north of Mt. Fuji; Kurodake is the highest peak in this range. "Kuro" means black. The trees, such as beeches and oaks, which cover the mountain make this Kuro-dake black. The ridge trail offers a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji. This hike is moderate intermediate, with a distance of less than 5 miles. The climb in elevation is about 2,200 feet, and the duration is about 4 hours.
