Mt. Ishiwari is one of the best day hikes near Yamanaka if you want a classic panoramic view of Mt. Fuji. The trail combines forest hiking, a shrine with local mythology, and a ridge-line view over Lake Yamanaka and Mt. Fuji. This intermediate hike is expected to take roughly 3 hours.
