One-thousand lanterns will light up the paths across Enoshima Island, transforming the entire area into a fantastic summer festival. At the same time Enoshima Shrine will be lit up with digital art featuring displays of its legendary tale known as Enoshima Engi. According to legend, a five-headed dragon terrorized Enoshima and its citizens for over a thousand years, but had a change of heart after falling in love with the elegant goddess Benzaiten, the goddess of speech, the arts, and learning.
