Enjoy a free drive in movie. Bring your own blanket and chairs and enjoy an outdoor movie under the stars! Food orders accepted from Club Takemiya for delivery. Garage available for setup as early as 5:30 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis. No registration required.
Event Information
- • Will there be food available?
- Yes, for purchase. You can place orders with Club Takemiya for delivery to your vehicle on event day. At arrival, please grab a number to place in your car window and a numbered delivery card to be given to staff, upon the completion of your Club Takemiya order. You will need to provide the numbered delivery card once your order is made over the phone.
- • Is there an age restriction to attend?
- No, however please note the movie rating.
- • Is there a maximum capacity?
- This is a first come, first serve event. Once the parking lot reaches max capacity, patrons will only be allowed to walk in to open seating (must bring own seats).
- • Is there parking?
- The top floor of the garage will be closed for parking. A notice will go out prior to event date to remove vehicles. Ground level of garage will be available for parking.
- • Can I bring my own personal blankets and chairs?
- Yes. Please avoid tents. A designated area will be provided. Please note, you will not be provided a sound transmitter, only subject to sound provided by the movie screen.
General Information
- • Who can attend this event?
- All DoD and host nation ID cardholders of all ages. All personnel will still be required to show proper identification to access the base. Base access rules apply
- • Will MWR provide sponsorship?
- Large scale event sponsorship will not be available for this event; however, patrons are able to sponsor guests on to the base through normal security procedures. Please contact the CFAY pass office for more information.
- • Is there parking for guests?
- Only DoD ID cardholders will be authorized to drive and park on base. DoD ID cardholders will be able to park in designated parking areas on base. All guests will not be authorized to drive and park on base.
- • Are pets allowed?
- While we love animals, pets are not allowed at this event, except for designated service animals.
- • Is smoking allowed at this event?
- Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas.
- • Will a shuttle service be provided?
- No shuttle service will be provided for this event.
- • Contraband:
- I. No items may be left unattended at any time.
- II. Personnel who do not wish to have their baggage checked will be turned away. This includes persons carrying large bags, backpacks, etc.
- III. No sealed bags or articles unable to be opened will be allowed onto the installation.
- IV. Should any guests be found to have in their possession knives, razors, or other small, yet inherently dangerous instruments, they will be turned over to Japanese police for adjudication.
- V. Glass bottles are not authorized. Any containers which are not sealed will be discarded with the exception of baby formula which will be inspected to ensure the contents are not harmful.
- VI. Spray paint is not authorized.
- VII. All other contraband will be brought to the attention of Police.
- VIII. Distribution of commercial flyers or display of banners will require immediate notification to the SECO/ASECO/CPOIC. The flyers and/or banners will be confiscated and the offender will be identified and released to Police for removal.
- IX. No form of electronic/radiological monitoring equipment.
- X. Bicycles, roller blades, and skateboards are prohibited for all event attendees – guests and DoD ID cardholders.
