Horseback Riding at Green Field Riding ClubTuesday, April 17 • 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. • Kanagawa Prefecture
Experience horsemanship at Green Field Riding Club through gentle grooming and riding instruction by experienced Japanese instructors. You will start off by learning to groom and tack the horse, then during a 30-minute lesson your “sensei” will help you find balance and contact with your horse. Two riders will alternate time on one horse, providing both perspective and a handy photographer! The Ikeda family has been riding and training hunter/jumpers and dressage for years at their farm, set high enough for snow-capped Mt. Fuji views in winter. Experienced riders will have the opportunity to ride on their own, following long line observation and with approval by the instructor. Transportation to and from Green Field and translation services are provided. The lesson fee (¥5,400) is not included for the cost. Children are welcome, but to ride the minimum age is 10 years old. No experience required. Maximum 4 participants. Wear long, comfortable pants and sturdy shoes. Important Note: Maximum weight for participants is 80kg (176lb). When signing up, please tell us your riding experience and weight. If time permits, we will stop at a local produce stand on the way home where you can buy farm fresh vegetable, eggs and baked goods.
